Schedule Your Appointment
Call or book online at the Crestview Kids office or any of our locations. Your child's first visit should happen by their first birthday or when the first tooth appears.
A Friendly First Visit
We introduce your child to the office, the team and the tools at their own pace. Keep a positive attitude and avoid scary words, and we will make the rest fun.
Exam, Cleaning and Fluoride
Dr. Diaz or one of our dentists examines your child's teeth, gums and bite, and takes digital X-rays only when needed. A gentle cleaning and fluoride treatment finish the checkup.
Treatment When Needed
If we find a cavity or another issue, we explain the options and can often schedule treatment right away. Sealants, fillings, crowns and extractions are all handled in-house.
Growth Monitoring and Orthodontics
At each six-month checkup we track how your child's teeth and jaw are developing. Around age 7 we evaluate for orthodontics and plan braces or aligners when the time is right.

When should my child first see the dentist?

What if my child is nervous about the dentist?

Does my child really need a crown on a baby tooth?
Often, yes. A crown protects a badly decayed baby tooth, prevents infection and holds space until the adult tooth comes in. Stainless steel, zirconia and strip crowns are all placed in a single visit.
What should I do if my child knocks out a tooth?
Hold the tooth by the crown, not the root, and place it back in the socket or in milk if you can. Call us immediately, as we strive to see emergencies the same day.
Do you treat children with special needs?
Yes. Our team creates individualized treatment plans for children with special needs, and Dr. Diaz offers in-house sedation for complex cases.
