Exam and Digital X-Rays
We examine your gums, remaining teeth and bone, and take digital X-rays. Together we decide between full, partial, immediate or implant-retained dentures.
Extractions and Healing
If teeth need to come out, we remove them in-house, and an immediate denture can be placed the same day. Conventional dentures are made after the gums have healed.
Impressions and Shade Selection
Precise impressions go to the lab along with the tooth shade and shape you choose. A try-in visit lets you check the look and bite before the denture is finished.
Delivery and Adjustments

Maintaining Results After Your Visit
After your dentures at Comfort Dental Care & Orthodontics, follow these steps to stay comfortable and keep your denture fitting well:
- Start with soft foods cut into small pieces and chew on both sides while you adjust
- Remove and clean your denture daily, and brush your gums, tongue and any remaining teeth
- Take your denture out at night to rest your gums, unless we tell you otherwise
- Come in for an adjustment if a sore spot develops and keep your yearly denture checkups

How long does it take to get used to new dentures?

What is the difference between an immediate denture and a conventional denture?
An immediate denture is made before your teeth are removed and placed the same day, so you never go without teeth. A conventional denture is made after your gums heal, which gives a more precise first fit.
What are implant-retained dentures?
